The Automotive Aftermarket Support Programme is a cornerstone of the AIDC-EC’s commitment to the overall empowerment of the automotive aftermarket SMMEs in the Eastern Cape. The department focuses on the ecosystem of businesses and services that support vehicles after they have been sold by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).  The targeted audience are historically disadvantaged SMMEs.

The Component Suppliers and Investor Support department is committed to bolstering the Eastern Cape automotive sector through a comprehensive range of services.  It focuses on three main areas: Consulting, Component Supplier Support, and Industry Investment Support.  All efforts are geared towards fostering a competitive and resilient automotive ecosystem in the Eastern Cape, thereby driving long-term success for all stakeholders involved.

In response to the evolving landscape of the automotive sector, characterized by a shift towards sustainability through the introduction of Electric Vehicles (EVs), the AIDC-EC is dedicated to cultivating a fresh array of competencies.
